STS#25...Halloween in July

Happy Sunday,

I had some free time last night, and decided to create a card for this week's Seize the Sketch.  The Fall season is my favorite time of the year, so I pulled out one of my favorite SU! retired stamp set, Greeting Card Kids.

I am not feeling well today, so I will make this short and sweet:

Paper:    Neenah Solar White, Whisper White, Basic Black, orange patterned paper is from SU! Cast-A-Spell DSP, black  patterned paper is from MS Carnival Photo Mat Pad
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Accessories:  orange button, Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain ribbon, black Baker's Twine, MS Scalloped Tag Craft Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig

FMS146....Fall in July

Hi Everyone,

Today's card was made using the Wonderfall stamp set from SU!, as well as the woodgrain embossing folder.  The leaf was stamped in Dusty Durango ink, and the acorn was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  The card base color is Crumb Cake, and the layer is Island Indigo.  The strips were die-cut with the Die-Namics Fishtail Flag STAX.  To finish off the details, I wrapped some linen thread around the acorn.  I know that we are in the middle of summer, but I was in the mood to make a "Fall" card.  Crazy, right!

My card layout is this week's Freshly Made Sketches:

IPC11... You're Tweet!

Hello Everyone,

I stumbled on this new-to-me challenge, Newton's Nook Inky Paws, and I fell in love with the bright citrus colors!  It gave me the chance to take out my Copic markers.

Inky Paws Challenge #11 - Citrus Color Challenge - Newton's Nook Designs

My card:

I began with a Whisper White card base, followed by a layer of hot pink.  The rest of the patterned papers are from my stash.  The digital image was colored with the following Copic markers: R83, Y02, Y06, Y11, YG00, YG01, YG03.  The banner was die-cut with MFT Fishtail Flags.  For some added details, I adhered small rhinestones to the banner.

Have a wonderful weekend,

FMS143 & CMCC27 ... Make a Wish

Hi Everyone,

Happy 4th of July!  I'm sharing a card for this week's Colour Me & Freshly Made Sketches.

I decided to go with a vintage look:

I will make this short and sweet, since I have family coming over today:

Stamps:  Inspired by Stamping Big Wishes
Paper: Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss, Patterned Paper from Little Yellow  Bicycle
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Rhinestones from Kaisercraft, taffeta ribbon, circle nesties, 1-3/4" scallop circle

For the flower, I cut out 5 scalloped circles.  I gathered all the circles and used a 1/16" punch to make a hole in the center.  I attached a brad in the middle and then layer by layer, scrunched up each circle.

Red, White and Blue Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday!

I'm popping in very quickly to share a card I put together last night.  My inspiration came from the Red, White and Blue colors at this week's The Kraft Journal and the simple layout at Seize the Sketch.

I began with a Kraft card base and some leftover Fourth of July patterned paper from last year's projects.  I believe they are from Pebbles.  The yummy cupcake was cut at 2 3/4 inches from Cricut's Doodlecharms cartridge.  I then mounted it onto a piece of Kraft card stock that I embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The image panel is matted on a Night of Navy card stock.  I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white card stock and adhered it to the cardfront overlapping the image panel.  The Happy Birthday message is from SU! Button Greetings, and was stamped in Early Espresso ink.  The patterned paper is broken up with some Crumb Cake seam binding.  I finished off the card with 2 enamel dots.
