The Kraft Journal.... Birthday Wishes

Hi Friends,

I'm popping in quickly to share a card I put together using the sketch from The Kraft Journal Challenge.

My card:

The card base is Kraft, with layers of brown and green gingham card stock.  I took a piece of Night of Navy and embossed it with SU! Stripes folder, and adhered to the left hand side of the card.  The die-cut circles were created with the circle nesties.  The car is from Hero Arts Three Fun Cars stamp set, and was stamped in Night of Navy ink.  The sentiment is from SU! Petite Pairs, and was stamped also in Night of Navy ink.  Since it's masculine card, I refrained myself from adding any bling!

I'm also adding this card to Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes.

The Card Concept #4

Hi Everyone,

Today, I have a card for this week's Card Concept Challenge - it's all about flowers.

My card:

The card base is Very Vanilla card stock.  The pretty patterned paper is from Bo-Bunny.  A cluster of knitted flowers takes the spotlight on the card.  Luckily, I had some pink yarn left over from another project.  I stamped the stem and leaves from Inspired by Stamping Daisies in Early Espresso ink, and well as the sentiment (SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes).  I wrapped a bit of pink satin ribbon on the bottom of the card, and embellished it with a trio of pearls.  For the final touch, I adhered big pearls on each of the flowers.  I am going to say this is a clean and layered card.

I am also adding this card to the following challenges:

Inspired by Stamping - February Customer Gallery Contest

CMCC#8... Birthday Wishes

Hi Friends!

I am playing along today with Colour Me.  We are challenged to work with Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Sky and Pistachio Pudding. I thought of creating a baby card, but then changed my mind.

This is what I came up with:

The card base is Very Vanilla, and the pretty patterned paper is from My Little Shoebox.  The dress form was die-cut with Tim Holtz' sewing room die, and was embellished with a Soft Sky color crochet trim that I found in my stash.  A trio of pearls completes the look!  The dress form is matted on a Very Vanilla oval, then layered over a baby blue panel.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Fancy Sentiments, and was stamped in Early Espresso ink.  I adhered pearls next to it and added more crochet trim dividing the patterned paper and the soft blue card stock.

This card is for a couple of challenges:

DD#90 .... Thanks Sew Much

Happy Monday!

It was nice to have a day off from work today!  I have quick card to share for this week's Dynamic Duos.  We were asked to use Black and Daffodil  Delight.

My card:

A sweet friend gave me a few spool chipboards she no longer wanted, so I decided incorporate one on my card this week.  The card base is Basic Black, followed by Whisper White.  I simply wrapped some yellow embroidery floss from my cross-stitching days around the spool, and added a safety pin as an accent.  The sentiment was computer generated.  A very quick and easy card!

CMCC#7.. Birthday Wishes

Hi Everyone,

Today's card was created for this week's Colour Me...!  We were asked to use Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party.

My inspiration comes from a past Mojo Monday Sketch:

My card:

I opted for round since it's out of my comfort zone.  I began this card with SU! Bigz Scallop Die.  My card base is Rich Razzleberry, followed by patterned paper from Pocketful of Posies DSP.  I divided the top and bottom of the card with some Kraft card stock.  The ovals were die-cut from Whisper White and Pool Party using the Nesties Classic Ovals.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Small Fancy Labels 18, inked in Basic Black.  I finished the card with a butterfly, two small flowers and a trio of pearls.

I'm also adding this card to the following challenges:

Exploring Cricut...Be My Valentine

Happy Monday,

I have a card to share with you for this week's Exploring Cricut.  We were asked to create a project with a Valentine theme.

My card:

I began with Crumb Cake card base, followed by some pretty patterned paper from my stash.  I happened to have Love You a Latte cartridge on my desk, since I was working on some projects, so I decided to use it for this challenge.  I cut the to-go cup and all layers at 4 1/2" - perfect size for an A2 card.  I used Whisper White, Tan, Chocolate Chip and Real Red card stock.  I cut a small tag at 1 1/4" using the Elegant Edges cartridge.  I then placed 2 small hearts using a puncher, and a small red rhinestone to one of the hearts.  To finish it off, I wrapped the lid with Red Baker's Twine and tied it to the tag.

Adding my card to:
The Pink Elephant - Challenge # 237 Happy Valentine's Day
Fussy & Fancy - Challenge #107 "Be My Valentine"

CMCC#6 ... Thank You Card

Hi Everyone,

Today's card was created for this week's Colour Me..! Challenge - Monochromatic Wisteria Wonder.

My card:

My card begins with a Whisper White case base.  For a bit of subtle interest, I stamped at the bottom of the card some texture using SU! Summer Silhouettes in Wisteria Wonder ink.  The vase was die-cut with the PTI  Mega Gracious Vases Dies.  I then inserted what looks like wooden tree branches using Memory Box Woodland Branch.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Small Fancy Labels 18, and was stamped in Crumb Cake ink.  I was inspired by an arrangement of pots and flowers at Home Goods.

The Card Concept .. Birthday Wishes

Good Afternoon,

Popping in quickly to share a card for The Card Concept Challenge - Monochromatic Pink.  I think my card falls in the "clean and Layering" category.

My card:

I matted both the image and the light pink paper panel with Blushing Bride and arranged them on a pretty floral panel.  I then stamped the image from SU! Easter Blossoms in Pink Pirouette ink.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Fancy Sentiments, and was stamped in Chocolate Chip.  To Finish off the details, a trio of tiny pearls were added to the basket.

Happy Sunday,

Today's card was created for this week's Dynamic Duos Challenge.  We were asked to use Real Red and Island Indigo.

The layout for my card is an old sketch from Verve:

My card:

I kept my card simple and on the clean side, keeping the colors as the main focus.  The card base is Whisper White, followed with another layer of the White.  The patterned paper is from SU! Festival of Prints.  The vase was die-cut from PTI-Mega Gracious Vases.  The flowers are from SU! Stippled Blossoms.  I stamped the sentiment from SU! Petite Pairs in Basic Black ink, and die-cut it with the Circle Spellbinders.  I then simply tied a small bow using some Island Indigo Baker's Twine.  The final details are two pearls on the top left hand side of the card.

Happy Saturday!

We finally got some much needed rain here in L.A.  It wasn't much, but it's better than nothing.  Meanwhile, the South is in a wintery state of emergency.  Crazy weather!

I'm popping in quickly to share a card I put together during my lunch hour at work for this week's Colour Me Challenge.  We were asked to use 5 colors of our choice + one neutral.  I went with Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, So Saffron, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Whisper White as the neutral.

I found a fun sketch on Pinterest, and this is what I came up with:

I began my card with a Whisper White card stock base, paired with layers of Crumb Cake and two stripes of patterned papers from the SU! Stack Brights Collection.  I stamped the pretty butterfly from SU! Butterfly Prints in So Saffron ink.  A stripe of black card stock was adhered to the right hand side of the card.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Big Wishes, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  I added a few enamel dots to finish off the details.

I'm also playing along at Seize the Birthday & Inspired by Stamping Customer Gallery - February Contest
