FMS101 & Seize the Birthday

Happy Thursday,

I'm popping in very quickly to share a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches.  We have a fabulous sketch by Linda.

I'm also joining in the fun over at Seize the Birthday.  It's anything goes Birthday!  YAY!

My card:

For my card, I began with Whisper White card base, followed by Raspberry Ripple cardstock.  The pretty paper and the two blue banner strips are from SU! Print Poetry.  I totally forgot I had this paper stack until I began to clean my craft table.  I will definitely be using it for the next month or so!  I used this beautiful flower from SU! Fabulous Florets Stamp Set as the focal point of my card, and popped it up with dimensionals.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and was stamped with Midnight Muse ink.

Exploring Cricut: Cricut Choice

Happy Tuesday!

Just popping in quickly to share a card I made for this week's Exploring Cricut.  We were asked to create a project using 2 cricut cuts.

I decided to use Create a Critter for the cute bird, and Elegant Edges for the scallop frame - two of my favorite cartridges!  My card begins with Kraft card base, and added layers of My Mind's Eye All Spice designer papers.  The bird was cut at 3 inches, and I used dimensionals to pop him up.  The frame was cut at 3 1/2 inches, and to finish it off, I adhered small rhinestones to the four corners.

FMS#100

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Freshly Made Sketches is celebrating their 100th sketch!  How exciting!  I created my card a couple of days ago, but finally had some time to upload it.

My card:

My card begins with Whisper White card base, followed by Chocolate Brown cardstock.  I used pretty paper from SU! International Bazaar, and combined them with more brown cardstock.  The stamp set I used is Summer Silhouettes, and was stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive inks.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

I'm also adding my card over at Link Up Tuesday.

The Kraft Journal Challenge #133 & Seize the Birthday "Anything Goes" Birthday

Hello my friends!

I created a card for two challenges, the first being The Kraft Journal.  We were asked to create a project with the "Sew-so simple" theme.  The other challenge is Seize the Birthday.  It's Anything Goes Birthday!

My card:

For my card, I began with Crumb Cake card base, and added layers of Little Yellow Bicycle Vintage Summer patterned paper.  Strips of red cardstock were added on both sides for some pop!  Using more Crumb Cake cardstock, I cut out the dress form using Tim Holtz Mini Sewing Room Set.  I adhered a flower using the SU! Itty Bitty Shape Punch, and carefully added a very small pearl in the middle.  Instead of adding lace to the bottom of the dress form, I jazz it up by adding a cute purse using Memory Box Chic Bag!  The sentiment is from SU! Itty Bitty Banners, and was stamped with Real Red ink.

I'm also linking my card over at Word Art Wednesday.

Seize the Sketch #1

Hello my friends,

Lesley has created a new challenge blog, and it's called Seize the Sketch.  I'm happy to join in on the fun!

My card:

I started out with Whisper White as the base, then added another layer of white cardstock.  A friend of mine requested a boy's birthday card, so I knew this would be the perfect sketch.  I purchased Washi Tape from my local craft store, and paired it up with this little car from Hero Arts.  I stamped the image with Memento Teal Zeal.  The sentment is from SU! Button Greetings.  I really like how the Washi Tape matched perfectly with the image.

FMS98 & DD#64

Happy Thursday!

I want to quickly post my card before I head out to work today.  I combined 2 challenges for my card.
The bright, cheerful colors are from Dynamic Duos, and the fabulous sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches.

My card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, then a layer of Daffodil Delight cardstock and patterned paper.  I dusted off SU! Butterfly Prints for the focal point of the card.  It's been a while I don't use this stamp set!  I do not have Strawberry Slush ink, but I substituted with Memento Rose Bud.  I used some dimensionals to pop up the image.  I adhered a small flower with a pearl in the middle.  A strip of Strawberry Slush was added on the bottom with some Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon wrapped around it.  I added a few buttons and pearls to finish off the details.

Merry Monday #69

Hello Everyone,

I'm popping in very quickly to share a card for this week's Merry Monday.  Leslie has given us a fabulous sketch:

My card:

My card begins with Very Vanilla card base, and added layers of Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet patterned paper and green cardstock.  The green cardstock was embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.  The circles were die-cut with the spellbinders standard circles.  The tiny Christmas ornaments are from Inspired by Stamping Holiday Ornaments and the sentiment is also from Inspired by Stamping Elegant Christmas Sentiments.  Both were stamped with Real Red ink.  Lastly, I wrapped red baker's twine right above the sentiment.

I'm also adding my card over at Inspired by Stamping customer gallery and Link Up Tuesday.

The Kraft Journal - Cute Critters and Exploring Cricut

Howdy!

I created this card for two challenges.  The first is the Kraft Journal - it's all about "Cute Critters" this week.  The second is a brand new paper craft challenge I happened to stumble upon called Exploring Cricut.

My card:

My card begins with a kraft card base, followed by red and kraft gingham patterned cardstock.  I think it gives the card a "western feel" don't you think?  I used one of my favorite cartridges, Create a Critter.  The horse was cut at 2.5 inches.  I used 3 shades of brown cardstock.  I just love the scarf around his neck!  The star was cut at 1 inch.

I think I will give this card to my nephew for his birthday.  I hope he likes it!

I'm also sharing my card over at Word Art Wednesday.
