Inspired by Stamping - WHW #III

Happy Tuesday!

Today I am sharing a card using the Inspired by Stamping WHW tutorial: Masking with your background stamps.  I received this email a couple of days ago, and I thought you were able to use ink, but it clearly states background stamps!  Even though I did not follow the instructions, I'm happy to add my card at Inspired by Stamping gallery.

My card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, following by Baja Breeze cardstock.  I created a mask using a rectangle die.  I sponged the inside with Baja Breeze ink.  I then added a flower using IBS Daisies Stamp Set.  The sentiment is from IBS Fancy Sentiments.  Both were stamped using Memento Tuxedo black ink.  To finish off my card, I adhered a small bow to the flower and some pearls on the top and bottom corner.

The Kraft Journal: Tie It On Challenge

Happy Sunday!

I'm popping in very quickly to share a project for this week's The Kraft Journal.  We are asked to create a project where you tie elements together.

My project:

I found this fabulous tutorial on Pinterest on how to create this easy and quick envelope, see Here.  It did not give me any measurements, but I did my best to duplcate it.  The pretty paper is kraft with pink flowers.  For the 4 circles, I used the largest circle spellbinders.  Using my Scor-Pal, I creased each circle in the middle.  I then used Tomboy adhesive and placed very little glue on the edges, exactly how the picture shows.  I wrapped pink satin ribbon around the envelope, then a double bow in the middle.   It looked plain to me, so then I adhered a button and used linen thread to tie the teapot trinket.

I'm also sharing my card over at Word Art Wednesday and Link It Up Tuesday.

PP155 & DD#62

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today, I want to share a card with 2 combined card challenges.  Jaydee has a fabulous sketch at The Paper Players and a pretty color combination with the option of butterflies at Dynamic Duos.   I do not have Calypso cardstock, but I substituted with Coral Orange.

My card:

I love CAS cards because they are so quick to put together, especially when you don't have alot of time on your hands!  The base of the card is Whisper White, followed by Basic Black.  The patterned paper is from my stash.  The focal image is a chair, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and I carefully ahered a very small butterfly to it.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Fancy Sentiments, also stamped with black ink.  To finish it off, I added a couple of black rhinestones and a pearl to the black banner.

I'm also adding my card over at Inspired by Stampin Customer Gallery.

The Kraft Journal: Pretty Paper Challenge & Freshly Made Sketches #95

Happy Thursday Everyone!

It's another week over at The Kraft Journal and Freshly Made Sketches.  The Kraft Journal asked us to use pretty papers for our project.  At Freshly Made Sketches, Narelle has a fabulous sketch, and yes, this sketch is definitely Narelle's style!  No doubt about it!

My card:

I started out with Crumb Cake cardstock for the base of the card, and the patterned papers are from October Afternoon.  I immediately thought of a daisy to add with these pretty papers, after that, everything fell into place pretty easily.  For the matting, I used SU! Crushed Curry cardstock, which I thought matched perfectly with my 2 buttons that I found in my stash.  I took a piece of white cardstock and embossed with SU! square lattice folder. This is one of my favoite folders.  I stamped the sentiment onto some kraft cardstock with Early Espresso ink.

I'm also adding my card over at Word Art Wednesday.

Dynamic Duos #61

Hi Everyone,

I haven't had the opportunity to play along over at Dynamic Duos in a long time!  But I'm happy to say that I created a card for this week's card challenge!

My card:

When I saw the color combo, the only thing that came to mind was a very feminine card, with pearls and lace.  I happened to have the dress form with kraft color lace wrapped around as a skirt from a card that I ended up not using (glad I kept it, right?). The base is Pink Pirouette, followed with Whisper White.  I do not have Sahara Sand cardstock, so I used something similar from my stash.  The gorgeous patterned paper is from SU! Fan Fair.  I adhered some delicate lace between that cardstock and Sahara Sand look-alike, to give it a vintage feel.  On the right hand side of the dress form , I added a strip of pink color using the MFT Pinking Edge Border.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The card would not be complete without some pearls!

I also entered my card over at Word Art Wednesday.

Freshly Made Sketches #94 & Seize the Birthday

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I have a card to share with you today for 2 card challenges:

 My card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, followed by Baja Breeze.  The patterned paper is by Pebbles, Inc. - one of my favorites.  I love using this gingham paper.  Using So Saffron cardstock, I created a pretty flower using the Originals Blossom Party die.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Cupcake Wishes.  I finished it off by adding some pearls here and there.

I'm also sharing my card over at Inspired by Stamping Customer Gallery.

The Paper Players #153

Hello Everyone!

I'm posting one more card tonight!  This one is for The Paper Players Challenge.  It's Christmas in July, even though I've already started making Christmas cards a couple of weeks ago!

 My card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, follwed by red cardstock.  The pretty gold paper is from DCWV.
I recently purchased the Woodland Branch by Memoy Box, and I figured this would be the perfect card challenge to use it for!  I did, however, make it smaller so it would fit in the oval area.  I adhered red baker's twine to the beak of the bird as if it is holding the Christmas ornament.  Both sentiment and image are from Just Rite's Noel Christmas Ornaments Stamp Set.  A few rhinestones and pearls were added on the ornament, inside the oval and on each corner of the card.

The Kraft Journal: Babies or Brides Challenge

Hello my friends,

It's another week over at The Kraft Journal Challenge.  We were asked to create a project either Baby or Bride Theme.  I chose Baby since I don't know anybody getting married anytime soon!

My card:

The base of the card is Pretty in Pink, followed with a piece of white cardstock added on top.  I embossed it with Seeing Spots folder.  I then added a strip of kraft cardstock on the bottom, embossed that piece with SU! Delicate Designs.  Taking center stage is a knitted baby sweater.  I added toothpicks to assimilate knitting needles.  I mounted the sweater on oval cut out with Spellbinders Classic Oval Dies.  For my finishing touch, I adhered a pretty pink bow to the sweater.

I'm also participating over at Word Art Wednesday and Link Up Tuesday.

Freshly Made Sketches #93

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while I don't play over at Freshly Made Sketches, so today I decided to create a card.

My card:

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the patterned papers are from This & That Echo Park 6x6 Pad.  I pulled out my SU! "On the Green" and stamped the image with Memento Cottage Ivy ink.  It's a perfect masculine stamp - I should really use more often!  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

I'm also uploading my card over at Word Art Wednesday.

Merry Monday July Challenge

Hello Everyone,

It's a Month Long-Anything Goes Christmas Challenge over at Merry Monday

My card:

I decided to create a vintage Christmas card, and this pretty paper from Webster's Pages was exactly what I had in mind.  The base of the card is Whisper White, followed by Cherry Cobler cardstock.  The dress form is the focal point of my card.  I dressed her up with green tulle and Cherry Cobler satin ribbon around the waist.  I also adhered 2 small pearls.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Elegant Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set.

I'm also uploading my card over at Inspired by Stamping Customer Gallery and Word Art Wedneday.
