DD#41 & PP134

Hello my friends,

The card I'm sharing today is for the Monochromatic Teal Blues at Dynamic Duos, and the Sketch Challenge at The Paper Players:

My card:

Since I used this stamp last week, I decided to use it one more time before putting it away. The patterned papers are from SU! Festival of Prints and Comfort Cafe.  I punched out 3 balloons using Island Indigo & Pool Party Cardstock.  I taped Pool Party Baker's Twine on the back of each balloon, to make it look like they are carrying the bicycle up, up and away.  I adhered 2 small flowers to the basket using SU! Boho Blossoms Punch.  I also added pearls to the wheel and pedal.

The Ribbon Reel Challenge 47 'Let's Ruffle'

Happy Thursday Everyone!

I want to thank the lovely ladies over at The Ribbon Reel for choosing my card as one of Top 3 from last week's card challenge.  I am so thrilled!

This week, we were asked to create a card / project inspirerd by the colors in the photo below and include ruffles:

My card:

I took out a stamp I have not used in a very long time, a bicycle from Hero Arts - it reminds me of Spring.  The base is Whisper White, followed by a piece of purple cardstock I found in my stash.  I used the SU! Top Note Bigz as the background for the image.  On the bottom, I added a pink "ruffle" ribbon by Melissa Frances, pink cardstock, a thin pink ribbon and a purple scallop border.  I added 2 butterflies and pearls to the wheels to finish it up.

IBSIC #46 & IBS Blog Hop

Hello my friends,

I have a card to share with you for this week's Inspired by Stamping Challenge #46 & February's Challenge Bows:

IBSIC-#46IBS-Blog-Hop-Bows

My card:

The card base is Crumb Cake and the pretty patterned papers are from The Lake House Collection from Kaisercraft.  The image is from The Craft's Meow Butterfly Kisses.  I added a doily and a light green cardstock behind it.  The sentiment (Vintage Frames) and the flower on the bow are from the IBS Store.  Lastly, I made a beautiful bow for my card that I learned from Joanna's bow tutorial! It's a bit hard to see because I used brown ribbon (it looks really pretty in person!).

A couple of months ago, I asked my hubby to make me a bow maker, but I only knew how to make one style, which is very different from Joanna's bows.  I know I will be using my bow maker more often now!

The Kraft Journal: Anything but a Card Challenge #108

Hello my friends,

I'm not feeling well today, so I will give you the short version.  First of all, I want to thank the ladies over at The Kraft Journal for choosing my card as one of Top Three last week!  YAY!  This week's theme is "Anything but a Card."

My Project:

I created a hand sanitizer box.  A quick glance of the inside:

I received this cute little box as a gift from a sweet friend, so I pulled it apart and created my own.  I used Kraft Cardstock and added pretty paper on the front.  The bird and leaf is from SU! Bird Punch.  If you would like the measurements, please send me an email, and I will get that to you as soon as I can.

Thank you so much for stopping by,

The Ribbon Reel #46

Hello my friends,

I've been a bit busy this weekend, with very little time to do crafts, but I did manage to finish my card for a new card challenge, The Ribbon Reel.  I fell in love with this beautiful photo:

My card:

The card base is Whisper White and those pretty patterned papers are from the Howdy Doody Collection from Miss Caroline. The tea cup is from SU! Tea Shoppe. The doily behind the image is a sticker from My Mind's Eye.  The final touches are a few pearls, lace, a pretty bow and a flower.

The Paper Players Challenge #131

Hello my friends,

I'm sharing a card I made for this week's The Paper Players Challenge.  This week's theme is sympathy cards.  Ironically, I created a sympathy card last week for another card challenge, so my stamp sets were still out!

My card

I wanted to create a masculine sympathy card, which I think is a bit harder than a feminine sympathy card.  The case base is Whisper White, followed with Crumb Cake and Night of Navy cardstock.  The flower is from SU! Love & Sympathy and the sentiment is from SU! Thoughts & Prayers.  I didn't add any rhinestones or bows since it's a masculine card.

Dynamic Duos #38

Hello my friends!

While hubby and my girls were watching the Super Bowl, I snuck in my craft room and created a card for this week's Dynamic Duos.  This week, we were asked to use Real Red and Pretty in Pink.  These colors are perfect for another Valentine's Card!

My Card:

I wanted to make a fun card and use the Owl Punch as my focal point.  The base is Whisper White, followed by Pink cardstock.  The "XO" paper is from My Mind's Eye Love Me and the pink stripe designer paper is from my stash.  I embossed a piece of red cardstock using the Perfect Polka Dots Folder.  Since I don't have a heart punch small enough for the card, I used the Cricut Cartridge Create a Critter for the 2 balloons, and it worked perfectly!  The sentiment is computer generated, since all of the sentiments I have were too long!  After a couple of hiccups, my card was done!  I really liked how it came out.  Right before taking a picture of it, I added 2 small pearls to the balloons.

IBSIC #44

Hello my friends,

Happy Saturday! Inspired by Stamping has some yummy colors this week, so I decided to play along.  I was inspired to create a Valentine card:

IBSIC-#44
My card:

My base card is Whisper White, followed by Blushing Bride. The 3 different designer papers are from Lost & Found Blush Paper Pad. I am running low with this pad, and it's one of my favorites.  The sentiment, the little red heart and the curvy design are from IBS Be Mine Stamp Set.  I added red twine to my bow and a beautiful pink flower (also from IBS Store).
