Freshly Made Sketches #63

Hello my friends,

Happy Friday!  I have a card to share with you for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #63.

My card:

I've been neglecting Rudolph, so I decided to dust him off and make him the focal point of my card.  I used Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler and festive paper from SU Festival of Prints.  I embossed the 2 stripes of Cherry Cobbler with Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, and added some Soft Suede cardstock for the 2 mats.  The sentiment is from Just Rite's Noel Christmas Ornaments.  I'm not sure if you can see it, but I added a small pearl, colored it in with a red Copic Marker for Rudolph's nose and added 2 small rhinestones.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Merry Monday #43

Hello my friends,

I have a card to share for this week's Merry Monday #43.  I love this week's sketch:

My card:

I didn't have any Christmas stamps small enough for the circles. so I decided to make 3 small poinsettias using the Layered Poinsettia Spellbinders.  The Christmas paper is from SU Scrapbooking Kit (retired).  The green cardstock was embossed with SU Petals-a-Plenty Folder.  I thought it would go well with the poinsettias.  The sentiment is from Just Rite's Noel Christmas Ornaments Stamp Set.

This is the final Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge for 2012!  I would like to wish everyone over at Merry Monday a Happy Holiday Season!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Hello my friends,

I have another card today - this one is for Dynamic Duos #30 Challenge:

My card:

The card base is Whisper White, the next layer is Midnight Muse and then some retired SU Navy Blue DSP.  I used SU Stocking Builder Punch (retired) to cut out 2 stockings, and added a small bow.  I also added silver edges using an EK Puncher.  The sentiment is from the SU Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by!

My card:

I've been enjoying making Christmas cards, and here is another one!  The base card is Very Vanilla, followed by Whisper White and pretty paper from SU Festival of Prints.  The bird image is from the Beautiful Season Stamp Set.  I used copic markers to color it in as well as the 3 rhinestones on the top right hand corner.

Freshly Made Sketches #62 & CR84FN67

Hello my friends,

I made a quick card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #62.  This fabulous sketch is by Jen B.

I used the beautiful colors from this week's CR84FN Color Challenge;

My card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, followed by Crumb Cake cardstock.  The plum paper is from Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet Collection and the 2 pretty gold papers are from Webster's Pages Clean & Simple.  I added velvet-purple ribbon in the middle of the card (even though it looks black) - it also has gold on the edges.  The Christmas ornament is from SU Delightful Decorations.  I used SU Perfect Plum ink to stamp the ornament and added 3 tiny gold rhinestones.  The card looked very simple at the top so I decided to add some big gold rhinestones.  The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.

IBSIC #35 & JAI #144

Hello my friends,

I have a card to share with you for 2 separate card challenges.  This week, at Inspired by Stamping , we were asked to use pink, gold and white, as the main colors.  Below is the photo inspiration:

IBSIC #35

I found this new card challenge, Just Add Ink #144, so I decided to play along and incorporate "Music" to my card:

The base card is Whisper White and the next layer is pretty paper from Webster's Pages' Clean & Simple.  I added gold and pink ribbon across the card.  I cut out a tag using music notes from Graphic 45.  Using the Layered Poinsettia Spellbinders, I cut a pink poinsettia and distressed the edges using Spun Suger Distress Ink by Jim Holtz (not sure if you can see it) - now that it's getting dark earlier, the lighting is not that great.  I adhered a small pink button to my tag and some more gold ribbon.  The sentiment is from Just Rite's Noel Christmas Ornaments Stamp Set.  Lastly, I added some pink rhinestones to the bottom of the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Dynamic Duos #29

Hello my friends,

It's raining here in L.A. and I love it!  I stayed home all day, did some scrapbooking and created a card for this week's Dynamic Duos #29 challenge.  I love this week's color combo, it's the perfect combination for a Snowman's theme!

My card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, followed with Black cardstock then Marina Mist cardstock(embossed with Snow Burst Embossing Folder).  I kept my card clean and simple, not adding any ribbon or bling - I wanted to do something a bit different.  The cute Snowman and the words "Snow Much Fun!" is from the same title, SU Snow Much Fun Stamp Set.  This was my very 1st Stamp Set I purchased from SU that was Christmas theme, and it's one of my favorites!  I just love all the cute images.  I used Prismacolor pencils to color the Snowman.  At the last minute, I decided to only use the words "Snow Much Fun" instead of the entire phrase, so I cut 3 squares for each word and added black cardstock. I also matted each word with orange cardstock and skewed them so they would stand out!

Freshly Made Sketches #61

Hello my friends,

It's almost Friday, and I can't wait!  Before I go to bed, I want to share a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches #61.  This fabulous sketch is from Jennifer T.:

My card:

The base of the card is Whisper White, Bashful Blue for the next layer and pretty Christmas paper from Recollections.  I purchased the digi stamp at Whimsy Doodle and colored with copic markers.  The sentiment and snowflakes are from SU Snow Swirled Stamp Set.  I used Bashful Blue ink and Chocolate Chip ink for the images and embellished the snowflakes with some bling.  In the middle of the card, I added silver cardstock and Bashful Blue ribbon from SU (retired).

Merry Monday #41 & Dynamic Duos #28

Hello my friends,

I would like to share a card that I made for 2 challenges:

Merry Monday #41

My card:

The card base is Cherry Cobbler, and the next layer is Sahara Sand.  I also used some pretty paper from SU Festival of Prints DSP.  I stamped the Santa hats using Cherry Cobbler ink and added mini pom-poms to each hat!  The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes.  To make it look more festive, I added small bows to each Santa hat!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

IBSIC #34

Hello my friends,

I have a card to share with you for this week's Inspired by Stamping Challenge #34

IBSIC-#34

My card:

The base card is Whisper White and the layer is from Authentique Bundle Collection: Wonder Paper Pad.  The Santa Claus that is matted with black cardstock is from Bo Bunny.  I thought both papers would look good together!  Instead of a sentiment, I added 2 small poinsettias using the Layered Poinsettia Spellbinders.  I decided to lower the bow so it wouldn't cover Santa's face.  Lastly, I added some rhinestones (a bit hard to see).

Thanks so much for stopping by!

IBSIC #33

Hello my friends,

Today I am sharing a card I made for this week's Inspired by Stampin Challenge #33.  A big thank you to Joanna for offering blog candy this week!  The winner will receive the Graceful Hydrangea Stamp Set!

My card:

The base of the card is Crumb cake and the next layer is Very Vanilla.  The pretty paper is from SU Festival of Prints DSP.  The black and red combo has an elegant look to it, so I decided to use the Just Rite Ornament Clear Stamps with the coordinating 2011 Heirloom Ornaments Spellbinders.  I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla for the top circle and added a black background.  I finished off my card by adding a red bow, a few pearls on the ornament, and some pretty lace on the bottom of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Freshly Made Sketches #59

Hello my friends,

Happy Sunday!  I'm here to share a card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches .  I love this fabulous sketch by Cindy:

My card:

The card base is SU Crumb Cake and the layers are from SU Festival of Prints DSP, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and more Crumb Cake.  I've seen alot of pretty cards on Pinterest with this color combo, so I wanted to give it a try for this masculine Christmas card.  The images are stamped with Baja Breeze, and I added chocolate chip squares for the background.  Instead of using ribbon, I added a stripe of chocolate chip paper and added 3 brown rhinestones (I hope this is okay?).

Thank you so much for stopping by,
