IBSIC #14 ~ Sketch Challenge

Hello My Friends,

Upon my return from a trip to San Francisco, I found out that my card (the one with the sewing machine) had won!  I want to thank the ladies over at  Freshly Made Sketches for choosing my card.

Today is my last day of vacation, and I head back to work tomorrow, but I couldn't resist this week's sketch over at Inspired by Stamping Sketch Challenge #14 , so of course, I had to make a card!

IBSIC-#14

And here is my card:

The card base is crumb cake (my favorite!), and I added some retired SU designer paper called Bella Rosa.  I just opened this pack today and didn't realize all the pretty paper it has!  I used the Circle and the Fancy Tags Spellbinders.  I cut 2 pieces and layered the white on top of the teal color so it can stand out a little.  My sentiment is from SU stamp set called Because I care (retired).  I added some pretty teal flowers using SU Boho Blossoms punch and added some tiny peals from SU.  Not sure if you can see it, but I also added 2 rhinestones on each side of the card.  The little red flower and the pretty lace are from my stash.

Thanks for looking!

Freshly Made Sketches #39

Hello My Friends,

Last night, I created this card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge:

and here is my card:

I started out with SU crumb cake cardstock and added my layers from Sweet Pea Paper Stack from SU (retired).  The sewing machine is from Spellbinders called Sewing Elements.  I've always wanted this set, and I finally got it!  For the fun of it, I added green floss for the thread spool on top.  The tape measure is from MS, and the sentiment is called Happy Greeting from SU! (retired).

Thanks for looking - Have a wonderful day!

IBSIC #12 ~ Sketch

Hello My Friends,
After several months of uploading my cards on Flickr, I took the plunge and created my very own blog!

Here is my 1st post!

This week, I played along with the sketch over at Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge.

IBSIC-#12

I started with SU very vanilla cardstock and some pretty leftover paper from my stash.  My sentiment is from a stamp set I purchased from Inspired by Stamping store, called Daisies.  Joanna Munster, the owner of the blog and store, sells gorgeous stamp sets, which she creates herself.  Pink ribbon and brown corduroy brad (retired) is from SU!  Pink pearls are from my local craft store, and the crochet flower is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by.
